Recently in an award function conducted overseas Mammootty, Dulquer & Sulfath (Mammootty`s wife) were present. During the function, Sulfath was called to the stage to announce the award. She was reluctant initially to come to the stage as she was not prepared for it and the officials of the event didn`t inform her in advance or took prior consent. Now the video of this is going viral with the observation that Mammootty didn`t allow her to go to the stage.

Such news is unwarranted; it should be taken as an infringement of a person`s privacy by the organizers of the event. Mammootty is a person who never pushed his family into events for publicity and he took special care that the family is not affected by his limelight.

Whatever it is, Sulfath with hesitation came to the stage and opened the cover to find the name of Dulquer in it. She then announced "my son" instead of Dulquer Salmaan which was a touching moment for all viewers. It could be considered as a rarest moment in the history of Mollywood and malayalam film lovers cherished it to their heart.
